Akane Sasaki (佐々木茜, Sasaki Akane; born 16 September 1953) is a Gandoorese politician who served as the 10th Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Gandoor from 2000 to 2006. She was born in Saitama, Japan in 1953 and moved to Gandoor with her family in 1964, at the age of 11. She is the only Gandoorese Prime Minister to have been born outside of Gandoor. During her premiership, the Gandoor Economic Recession of 2004 to 2006 occurred, which led to the unemployment level increasing to 10.3%, the employment decreasing by 3.7%, and the GDP decreasing by 1.3%. This recession is regarded as the primary reason for Sasaki's resignation as leader of the Gandoor Communist Party in 2005, becoming the first Gandoorese Prime Minister since Alexis Johnson in 1964 to resign as party leader and not run for reelection.

Historians and scholars have generally ranked Sasaki as having been a below-average Prime Minister.

Sasaki became the first Gandoorese Prime Minister to marry someone of the same sex when she married her girlfriend of eight years, Natsuko Hirata, in 2002.

She is the second of three Gandoorese Prime Ministers to be part of the LGBT community. She was preceded by Robert S. Stevenson (Prime Minister from 1910 until 1940), who was bisexual, and succeeded by Park Sang-Hee (Prime Minister since 2024), who is lesbian.

Prior to serving as Prime Minister, Sasaki served as a Member of the Forum from 1992 until her appointment as Prime Minister in 2000.
