The Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Gandoor (Japanese: ガンドア民主共和国首相 Gandoa-minshukyōwakoku Shushō, Russian: Премьер-министр Демократической Республики Гандур, Prem'yer-ministr Demokraticheskoy Respubliki Gandur) is the head of government and the head of state of the Democratic Republic of Gandoor. The Prime Minister is the head of the Cabinet, the Domestic Council, the Security Council, and is the Commander-in-Chief of the National Military of the Democratic Republic of Gandoor. The Prime Minister and the Cabinet are accountable to the Forum, their political party, and the electorate.
The office of Prime Minister is established in Article III of the Constitution of Gandoor, which stipulates that the Forum most appoint the nominee put forward by the largest party in the Forum following a National Election to the office, with the only requirement in regards to appointment being that they 'must be a Member of the Forum at the time of appointment'.
While originally being able to serve for as long as their party maintained control of the legislature following a National Election and as long as they maintained the confidence of the Forum, following the ratification of the Third Amendment in 1958, the Prime Minister may serve no more than two terms in office, although it is still possible for them to be removed from office following successful motion of no-confidence against the Government by the Forum.
The current holder of the office, Park Sang-Hee, Leader of the Gandoor Communist Party, was appointed by the Forum on 11 October 2024. She is the 13th Prime Minister of Gandoor and the ninth from the Communist Party.
